Photographed in various locations these lifestyle images showcase a diverse selection of photography I have produced for various editorial and commercial uses.
I use a considered balance of natural and artificial light to create an individual mood in my images. This combined use of light alongside the composition and subject matter hopefully provide a unique depth to each image.
GRAPHICS, DESIGN & BRANDING
Select examples of branding and identity projects I have worked on with various clients.
The process begins with a notepad and pencil - simply sketching multiple ideas.
I research typography, design history and contemporary style, then refine and finalise the design.
Select examples of website design projects I have completed can be found through the following links:
• Studio by Art-Eye - I worked with Art-Eye Consultancy to produce their new artists shop website.
• Isn't She Lovely Make-Up - Working in Collaboration with the lovely folk at Design Room Cornwall, we designed and built the website, portfolio and online shop for 'Isn't She Lovely make-Up', who are based in Liverpool.
• Home-Fires - I worked with Home-Fires from Exeter to create their new online identity.
•Crystal Clear Spa- A website advertising all the services available through the Spa. Built in collaboration with Design Room Cornwall.
•The Seaside Kitchen- Another website built in collaboration with Design Room Cornwall. We focused on the commerce functionality offering a customisable and inventory monitored online store front.
Working with Moshulu I provide photography and art direction for their range of seasonal catalogues and their online store.
I retouch and edit the images ready for use in the catalogue and website.
Depending on the theme for the season the images are complimented by illustrated designs to aid the overall style for that catalogues products.
My photography is used by the charity 'Surfers Against Sewage' in their online shop, 'Pipeline' magazine and their email newsletters.
Support the charity, keep the beaches clean, visit the website & buy a hoody!

SMOKIN' J's BBQ
This brand identity was created for Canadian restaurant 'Smokin' J's' Wood Smoked BBQ. Designed to be used across a variety of promotional materials, menus and merchandise, the aim was to create a logo that embodied the unique character of the American Deep South BBQ.
The brief was structured around the description and 'feel' of the restaurant itself:
"Old backwoods theme - the Deep South, A brown wooden interior, monkey nuts in old wooden bowls, old blues music, Santana, Muddy Waters, Rolling Stones etc... BBQ pit & bar, ice cold local brewed beer and whiskey from the only local distillery. Organic meat, produce and eggs from the local farmers, with home made bread and desserts. "
STUDIO BY ART-EYE
Working with Art-Eye Consultancy we designed and built their new website featuring an artists shop.
We also reworked their logo to incorporate the name 'Studio by Art Eye' that identified the aspects of the new website.
Working in collaboration with Design Room Cornwall, we designed and built the new website for Liverpool based hair & makeup specialist 'Isn't She Lovely'.
The aim was to create a website that evoked the sophisticated styling of the beauty industry. It needed to be flexible and easily updated by the client as they changed the availability of the products for sale and what services they offered.
Working with Seasalt Cornwall's marketing team, I provide photography for both their online shop and catalogues.
The Seasalt website is constantly updated, so to view more of my photography as it becomes live please visit: seasaltcornwall.co.uk
The Photographic Society Of America defines a 'travel photograph' as "an image that expresses the feeling of a time and place, portrays a land, its people, or a culture in its natural state and has no geographic limitations".
Displayed here is a small sample of my travel photographs. I try to capture glimpses of experiences and observations as I travel with paused moments in time and frozen fractions of a second.
Viewing and photographing other peoples memorable moments and experiences alongside my own can provide a wealth of visual variety.
Locations include: Cuba, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, U.S.A, Easter Island, New Zealand, Vietnam, India, Nepal and the U.K.
